Positive experiences Personal Digital Access

The 2025 – 2026 football season has been in full swing for a few weeks now. Tens of thousands of visitors have already successfully entered their club's stadium weekly via their club's app. But in previous seasons, we have also facilitated hundreds of thousands of visits this way. In short, it's about time to zoom out again: what are the experiences with Personal Digital Access and what does Siip consider important for its implementation and application for professional football organizations (BVOs) and supporters?

Process Measurement Results

Independent agency DSP-groep conducted a process measurement on behalf of the KNVB and SportInnovator regarding the Personal Digital Access pilot. They spoke with, among others, employees and supporters of Professional Football Organizations (BVOs) with whom Siip collaborates. Such as PSV Eindhoven, ADO Den Haag, FC Eindhoven, FC Groningen, NAC Breda, PEC Zwolle, and RKC Waalwijk.

DSP-groep has published a concise report on this. It contains valuable conclusions and recommendations:

‘The collaboration with Siip was perceived positively by the BVOs.’
At Siip, we are naturally very proud of this. We believe that being a collaborative partner is extremely important. This is reflected in our regular contact moments and is endorsed by DSP-groep: ‘Siip provided good support to BVOs in solving problems, attended supporter evenings to inform supporters about PDT, and visited stadiums on match days to observe how access with PDT proceeded.’

Weekly increase in usage across various stadiums

Among the BVOs with whom Siip collaborates, we are seeing a significant increase in the use of digital access again this season. More supporters are utilizing this option weekly.

‘In addition to good coordination between technology, service & organization, and effective information provision, this is truly thanks to the fact that we take our time with implementations and conduct thorough testing throughout the entire chain.

What works well, what could be improved? This is how we collaboratively arrive at optimal solutions for supporters and clubs,’ says Remco Voorhorst, founder and CEO of Siip Group.

In a previous post we already elaborated on how Siip facilitates these implementations.

Our years of knowledge and experience in this field are invaluable here, as also evidenced by this recommendation from the research report:

‘We also advise new BVOs to contact the pilot BVOs and maintain close contact with Siip. By utilizing existing knowledge and experience with the process, new BVOs can ensure an effective and efficient implementation of PDT.’
